finance report tfgld3409m000
This report looks as if it should be an extended trial balance, although the help screen refers to it as a column format trial balance.
So questions are...
a) is this report meant to be an extended trial balance?
b) if so how can I get round the problem of the account balance printing in both the B/S and P&L column?

I think the report is about to print the "net change" summarized by account in the selected period rather than the TB ("Balance").

OK......it's the net movement.
But I can get this info from the normal TB.
Also why is the net movement value repeated in three columns?
Any answers??

I think I may have mislead you a little when referring to columns.
There are actually 4 columns in the report:
Balance
Comment
Profit & Loss Accounts
Balance Accounts
each of these columns has a debit and credit side.
The comment column is empty of values (and even comments for that matter)
The value shown in balance, be it debit or credit, is repeated in the profit & Loss column and the Balance account column.
If this is an extended TB then it should actually be that the balance value is then repeated in either the profit & loss column or the Balance account column but not both.
