One of my financial staff was finalising a batch when BaaN hiccupped and gave a sockets error message. She closed down her BaaN and re-opened it but the batch she was finalising now says that the run is in use and cannot be altered.
Is there a way I can stop this batch session so it can be re-entered?

Hi,
Yes use session tfgld1116m000 to release it.

Hi
After re-reading your post I see that you mention finalization, if the user had finished the batch run and was finalizing it then you need session tfgld1117m000 to invoke the background process to finish it.

Thanks.

hi,
as Steve told thats the right approach. But if you dont find any records in those two sessions, the only way is to resort to the GTM and change the status in table tfgld101 to "Ready" so that the batch would be available for Select Batches for Finalization (tfgld1110m000).
By this you can restart the Finalization process using the above session.

just wondering - shouldn't you use the correction programs otfcor0203 and otfcor0204 if there are still entries on the non-finalized/interim tables gld102/gld207-gld212 for the crashed batch?

Hi,
otfcor0203 and otfcor0204 are the old sessions for it. Since BaanIVc4, I think, we have the GUI-Sessions tfgld1116m000 and tfgld1117m000.
You should use the new ones.
Bye, Juli :p

Thanks Juli - unfortunately we're still on B40b2 - although we'll hopefully soon see B40c4!
