Can anyone tell me the details how Baan4c calculates Standard costs of items. We are using moving averages method for calculation of standard cost of purchased items.

Hi
Since you have taken average in the parameter

The system get the average price while doing the match approve of purchase invoice with receipts

calculation is (OLD inventory*Old AVG+New receipt*new price)/(OLD inventory+New receipt)
This get updated in Item master
then while doing the update cost price the standard cost get updated with is average price.

Please check your purchase order parameter also.Ideally the Method of price calulation should be "Current Inventory"
