Backdating Transactions:-
Transactions that are entered in previous date are called backdating transaction.
eg:-
The system enables you to enter a past date for various transactions. For example, if shipments are made on Saturday but are not recorded in the system until Monday, you can enter the Saturday date as the transaction date.
