Good Afternoon All,
Im working for a company that has been using baan for several years, but has never implemented use of any of the fixed asset module. Does anyone have any information on the basic steps to implement FAM? Testing etc?
Thanks!!!

Steps at a very broad level:
1) Ensure that the client has the asset register in place. This includes purchase values and depreciation till date
2) It should be ensured that the asset register figures match with the trial balance figures
3) Define the Fixed Assets Master Data. Important are asset groups, categories property types and depreciation methods
4) Decide the tables that need to be migrated. Major ones are tffam100 and tfffam110.
5) Decide on the integration scheme for capitalisation and other FAM transactions
6) Get the Fixed Assets Data for the above tables
7) Migrate
8) Capitalise and depreciate and check the results.
I suggest that you do this on a test company first before u do the actual migration. There will be many small things that u realise when u actually migrate the data.

You can get documentation from the Infor website under the Baan knowledge Base.
You can search for Fixed Assets set-up and then download a few solutions which are either pdf documents or word documents.
I have done that sometime back.
