Hi,
while creating the layout I get the compile error.
Please have a look at the Attached error message.
Any help would be apreciated.

found out, when the report is created a report script is attached to the report. If I try to open the report script, baan is asking me create a script? though it is allready there (or not).
I say yes and now with an empty report script ( I think it was empty anyway) the report is compiled.
anyone else have experienced this strange behavoir.

Some of the reports i have noticed doesnt contain any report script but after you copy it to your VRC and do whatever modifications on the layouts that needs to be done, the report compiles and runs successfully. So i dont think your error has anything to do with non-availability of a report script.
Then again i wont be surprised if it "was" indeed due to the non-availability of a report script given to understand the unpredictable nature of Baan Reports.

Hi Schweizer,
I am not sure if you create your financial statement in a customized PVRC?
Please check your OS level to find if the directory : $BSE/application/tfXXXXX/rtffst was existed.
If this directory does not exist, just create this directory first, then compile your report layout again.

Hope it helpful.

Hi ,

I am not sure but i guess if the report input fields crosses the limit such behaviour occurs .

The Report was in the right VRC but like Alex said, the directory was not created.
When I try to open the script, baan is asking me "create script y/n? " because it is not created. And afterwards "creating directory ...."
Actually the error message says " can not open script" but this is mostly ignored because it is assumed the temp file is meant.
Thanks for the Posts
