When I input transaction Entry Date, it pops up this message:

Period Status Record not Defined for this Company

Please help :confused: :confused: :confused:

Check that your period status records exist for the year you are closing as well as the next year.

HOW TO USE THE SESSION (Close Year)
This session can only be carried out if the following conditions have been met:
- all existing batches within the fiscal year to be closed must have been finalized;
- all periods must have been closed;
- at the end of the selected fiscal year, the debit and credit balances must match;
- the session "Automatic Balancing of Profit and Loss Accounts (tfgld6202m000)" must have been carried out for the fiscal year to be closed; - there may be no current account entries for the selected company whose fiscal year is about to be closed.

Check that your period status records exist for the year you are closing as well as the next year.

All data have existed. and periods of Current year have been finally closed, periods of next year are open.

Have you defined the period status for the next year before you perform close year. If not, please do it first.

Yes, I have defined the next period status, but still not close.

It's weird! As I known in baan. Those messages only come out when

1. Period Status Record not present in tfgld007 for those company and those year
2. Period Status Record not present in tfgld007 for those company and next those year

Please check the record directly on table tfgld007 with GTM.

It should be my last chance to guess on your situation. Have you defined the period status with all kind of period type (Fiscal, Reporting and Tax). If No, try to add those back. If Yes, I think you should log this case at Baan Support.

First of all, is your problem solved? ;)
If no, what is the end date of 2003 and the beginning date of 2004
Are you in a multicompay setup?
If so, is the compay 155 a group company or a sub company?
Is the table tfgld007 shared? (You can see this in session display logical tables)

I'm having this same problem with Close Year and do not see a solution. I have checked all areas as well. MariaC says to check that your period status record exists. Where do you check that? :confused: Does anyone have the answer?

Check in session "Period Status" (Path: Finance - Periodic Processing - Period Handling) for the current year and next year if the periods are defined and are open (for both fiscal and reporting years)

tfgld006!!! (as mentionied also for the TAX Period).

(Subsession tfgld0106s000 from Maintain Periods in the finance tree).

Our finance had this error today with the 31.12.2006 because tax period was ending in table tfgld006 on 30.12.2006, which results in this error message.
