Revalution Trigger in BaaN:

Production (SFC)

Revaluation - At the point of cost rollup

Warehouse Order
Revaluation - At the point of cost rollup, the change in standard price is recorded

Sales
Revaluation - When you backdate a delivery

There is 1 more revaluation. Purchase/revaluation .

Warehouse order revaluation is revalation of items in stock physically. All other revaluation are the result of backdated transaction entry after which there has been a cost change. All these (other than Warehouse order) are generated so that the overall revaluation effect remains in tact in all circumstances (even when u create a transaction before the date of cost price change).

Hi Hitesh

What you mean by backdated entry. For the case of production(SFC) revaluation, the entry will trigger for the Open Production Orders @ the time of costing. But in case of warehouse order it is related to stock available in the warehouse rather the warehouse order.

Can u pls give some example for each revaluation entries

On cost price updation takes, if there is any change in Qty price, the revaluation entry - warehouse order revaluation trigger.

Revaluation entry = Price of Qty change * Qty

Is this right?

Hi Bala , U r right about production SFC /revaluation . It's for the existing material in WIP. So my earlier explanation still remains valid for other revaluations viz purchase /sales . If u enter a purchase receipt on 5th August dated 1st Aug and there is cost price change on 3rd August , purchase revaluation will get generated.

For Warehouse Order Revaluation, If a warehouse having an item called "X" with 100 qty with the rate Rs.2. If the price of the item changed to 1.5
then the warehouse order revaluation entry will trigger for the value( 100*.5 = Rs.500) @ the time of running costing.

am i right?
