In which conditions does the Last Batch number used field in table tfgld014 not get updated even when the batch has been properly finalized.

Status in tfgld100, tfgld101 and tfgld109 are fine.

The last used batch number is updated as soon as a new batch is created. Maybe the user had a problem while creating a batch and the process aborted without updating correctly?

The batch was finalized properly w/o errors.

We used to get this problem occasionally.

Not entirely sure what fixed it (patching the sessions, fewer users and more stable clients (moved from Windows 98 to NT)) it just disappeared over time. I think at one point there was a defect raised for the scenario where two users go and get the next batch number at the same time but I'm not sure where this would fit in with your service pack level.

it is not get updated till the time you have not entered any transaction type in the field(tfgld101.ttyp) and saved it, on the form.
