My system is running on Baan V 5.0c

I used the home currency, when I maintain the first transaction in a new company. leave the field "currency", system always show the message " Rate not found for company 888" .


Please suggest the solution, thanks.

I have solved the issue, the message disappeared. But I don't know the reason.

I modified the field "Reporting Currency" in session "Companies (tcemm1570m000)", let it blank, then the message disappeared.

The currency system is Dependent, reference currency should be same with local currency, right? so it all is RMB, and reporting currency is another currency USD, have defined the exchange rate of USD to RMB currency.

So I don't understand how to use the reporting currency, my steps were wrong? why do system still require the rate in maintain transactions?
