In session tffas0520m000 (tffas0110m000 =>tffas0520m000). To enter a new record (fixed asset) in this session I insert depreciation code, year and fixed asset. I then insert record. The message which then appears is "special depreciation not found". I then have to log out of the session and repeat the process, only then can I insert a new record.

However, if I enter details in "special depreciation" field a record can be created without any messages appearing.

Could anyone advise me what the implications are if I enter fill in the special depreciation field.

just before doing the initial setup for FAS do ensure that the parameters is not set for special depreciation, this may be really preliminary but please ensure that this has not been entered mistakenly
