Hi all
I have a problem with the calculation for depreciation for period 2 it is 12 times the normal amount! for 3 fixed assets, can any one point to possible areas to look at??
This amount has been posted into finance so the user has done a journal to correct however the book value is wrong so I know some changes will have to be done in the Fixed Assets tables

can you check the depreciation settings by asset / asset group for the 3 assets mentioned.

Hi
I have checked settings against another asset and see no differences.
The only thing I can see different is the date of last use is 25/02/2003 for all 3 assets now the way the company has been setup the fiscal year is 2003. however the period dates are correctly specified to fall into current month dates for example jan= 1st Jan 2002 - 31st Jan 2002. I always thought the system uses transaction dates for depreciation and not the fiscal year.
Another interesting point is that the depreciaiton log tffas2160m000 shows against those 3 assets error code 0121 which I am not sure what it stands for ?? is it Sale?? where can u find out more information about this?
thanks for any help
