Hi,
BaaN IV C4, SP 9
When we try to run this session Rebuild Opening Balance(tfgld3202m000) for more than one period, it is very very slow, it takes more than a day to finish. Any one experienced this and solution?
Thanks

Have you checked to see whether you have the latest patches loaded for the session. There may be performance patches in later solutions.
Also, you could try running tfgld3206m000 which is basically the same.

Hallo!
I never use tfgld3202m000. Do use tfgld3203m000. Session is faster and most reliable.
Regards!

Monika,
The 2 sessions actually do different things. tfgld3202m000 only rebuilds the parent dimensions from the child dimensions, while tfgld3203m000 rebuilds the history from tfgld106 (transactions).

We had similar problem, BaaN recommends use of tfgld3206m00, this session is much faster, we found time required for rebuild slashed to half of what was required before.

As far as I know, 3203 and 3206 do the same thing. 3206 is faster, but only if your server is up to the job. When you are low on processing power and or memory 3203 may be your best choice.

What about tfgld0295m000? Have you tried before?

I've never seen this session before it's not on the baan standard menus so I wonder if it was not a program created for a specific case.

tfgld0295m000 is Standard Baan Session (from Ser Pack 2 on Baan IV) "Rebuild Ledger/Dimension History of Period", never used it though.
