When you make changes to DEM and switch users to the new version, do you do that while they are on the system? If so, what typically do they experience in regards to existing bshell/sessions and any behavior/error messages?

Just curious if people do this type of activity in an outage or if the disruption is minimal/none?

Typically we re-generate desktops while they are out of the system. But we do it during the day also - I think we just ask them to log out. I am not sure if that is necessary or not.
