Baan IV DEM questions:
1. I hve few business processes which areattached to Role
2. Roles are linked to user.
3. Now is it possible to grey out certain session within a user's DEM menu created later, means
if the business process has session 1, session 2 and session 3.
For user 1 I want him to access Session 1 and 2,
User 2, Session 2 and 3.
like this, is it possible to do the above by not creating different business processes different users. Current I know to different business processes and roles for different users with similar menu or access.

Thanks in advane

It would be easier just to create different business processes for the users and or roles.

BaanIV DEM does not give the flexibility with permissions that later versions of baan do.

Best practice is to keep your sessions in a limited number of Processes (2 at most) and create a new Roles and attach to the session within the Process you want it to have access to.

In project model, you can define phases. These relate to business functions and the attached processes. You can assign the phases to different BF and the activities would be greyed out as you change the phase. Further, if you generate user menus, they will be different for each phase.

Hope this helps
