This is the first time I am posting a query, our client is using C IV version, I want to know is it possible to raise a purchase order through purcahse contract without maintaining a delivery schedule for the same.

Create a purchase order manually and if there is a contract that match the info will appear on the purchase order. Notification will appear as well

Thanx for the reply. I tried to generate a purchase order through Maintain Purchase Order session, however the moment I enter in the contract number of the relevant purchase contract, the following message is flashed- Contract is not a special contract.

Is it possible to generate the purchase orders through the above-mentioned window for special contracts only.

You don't generate it via this session. You need to manually enter the order. You can only generate the order if you have a delivery schedule against the contract.
