Is there any functionality to control last time buy (=SO entry) / last time delivery, perhaps in Engineering Data Management or using a localization ?
last time buy = SO order entry not possible after this date, last time delivery = delivery not possible after this date.

Err.... when the date comes, put a signal on the item blocking the item from being sold? No? I'm sure you want something more sophisticated, huh :( ?

Can't really do it with EDM, because even if the revision is expired, you are not restricted from producing or even selling the old revision

I know about the signal codes with blocking functionality yes, but are indeed looking for something more sophisticated. We need to let our customers know at leats 6 months ahead when products will become obsolete, so I'm looking for a bit more functionality, being that you can put in a date before this moment comes, instead of having to do this exactly _on_ that date.

How about putting the date in the revision description field in the EDM? This way it would at least be visible when entering the order ...
