Hello - if we create a sales order to ship from warehouse XYZbut there is no inventory for the ordered item(s) in xyz but there is inventory in warehouse ABC does a replenihment order get created automatically so that the item can ship from the warehouse in the order? Or do we have to create the replenishment order manually?
Thanks...

Or,
You can create a small customization to do the transfer.

Hi,
Im not sure about your version (Baan IV) but in LN it is possible in the following way.
During the SO Line Entry, Inventory Shortage Handling Menu will gets populated if the inventory is insufficient in the warehouse mentioned in the SO Line (Lets say "FG"). You can select the option "Generate Transfer Order" and give the replenishing warehouse (Lets say "RM") & quantity. In this case, ERP LN will generate the Transfer Order automatically to replenish the goods from RM to FG.

As stated by some one earlier, one can create a small customization to create a trans=fer order. It is a very simple customization. We have done in our implementation.
