Hi,
did you receive the message "EDI message prepared" when printing the purchase order?
If not please check first if the order type used in the PO exists in the edi table for outgoing purchase order types.
Session: tcedi4132m000 "Conversion of Order Types (out)"
Only for this order types a EDI message will be prepared.

Hi,
ok, but then something else is missing or not correct in your EDI set-up.
Is the corrsponding message is set to active in session "Maintain supported EDI messages?
Also check supplier set-up in "maintain EDI messages supported by relations" and "Maintain relation data by network".
BTW: The message "EDI message prepared" for the outgoing PO will only be created when printing the original purchase order.

Hi,
I have created new purchase order number and checked, so when printing the purchase order it showed me the "new edi message have been prepare" but when went to the next step of the "Direct Network Communication" it generated an error as "Conversion setup - 850 does not exist"

Then simply something with the conversion set-up defined in session tcedi0111m000 "Maintain EDI messages supported by relations" for the corresponding supplier is wrong or missing,
but it's difficult to help from outside without knowing your actual set-up.
Did you use a standard or own created conversion set-up?

I dont insert information for "Maintain Definitions of Conversion Setups" and when trying insert the new row it showing press ctrl+S. I have used only 810 and 850.Also doing edi for both the selling and purchasing in the same company. And did the same steps present in the pdf U7041C00.pdf. Also while running "Direct Network Communication" it will getting hang and printing the report will all details and at last line printed as "Conversion setup - 850 does not exist". So please tell me what to do. Also i have used "AN1" Order type for the purchase order.

Hi,
I have inserted the row for the session "Maintain Definitions of Conversion Setups", so the "Remarks in Generated Messages" report are generated. But still "Direct Network Communication" will getting hang.

Hi,
if you are using the EDI standard communication please check if the semaphore file (in the command subdirectory) must be removed when during processing of the "Direct Network Communication".

Hi,
no idea why the field is not updated in your system.
Normally it's a simple update of field tdpur040.egen when generating the EDI file with the program for outgoing purchase orders (normally otdpurdll4280 which is set in session tcedi0105m000 "Maintain EDI Messages").

Mathew,
sorry, but no further idea why it is not working on your site as it should be, so maybe it's a good idea to contact the Infor support now.
