We are trying to upload Item Opening Balance. But the Items are serialized items. Can anybudy tell us what is the method to upload Opening Balances of the serialized items.

Can you share the methodology you have thought of uploading the opening inventiory balances.

I'll revert you accordingly.

The easiest way to load intial inventory balances is to:

- Create an Adjustment Order
- Add Adjustment Order Lines
- If the item is serialized you will be prompted for a serial number
- Process the Adjustment Order

If you have thousands of balances to load and you have an excel or text file with the initial balances, you could:

- Manually add an Adjustment Order
- Use Exchange to populate the following tables:
- Adjustment Order Lines (whinh521)
- Adjustment Order Lines Lots and Serials (whinh526)
- Then manually process the Adjustment Order

If you decide to use Exchange, attached are the entity relationships that you would need to consider.

i just started to work on BAAN systeam and its totally new for me.i started as a inventory controller so hav to maintaion data and cycle counting but dont know anything if you have some idea and help me how to make reports (press line 1,2,3 and cut to size,melimine and other products which we are using at the moment).they saw me some reports.i just litle used wherehouse order n relese n general order and want to know more about BAAN...can you explain me in details.i sent you msg bcoz you r very old user and i thought u must know abt it.:).
