I have a question on how Baan 5c generate cycle count.

I have a new item of which NO cycle count has been performed before (no last count date is registered) . This item has an ABC code of A at the warehouse level. At the parameter level, A item suppose to have cycle count at the weekly basis.

At the present moment, this item has 100 unit in warehouse. For the pass few days, this item has several purchase receipt transactions registered for the warehouse.

When I tried to generate cycle count (whinh5200m000) (force cycle count = false) for the warehouse location of which this item is stored, no cycle count order line is generated for this item.

May I know in what scenario Baan will generate cycle count order for this stock point other than using force cycle count ?

Many thanks in advance

See there is an entry in the cycle count data session (I think system puts it in there when a new item arrive, unless someone takes it out). This is needed for cycle count generation

Hi,
See the frequency of audit set. Check the warehouse , if it is to be skipped during cycle count..

thx

Hi,

Check the option "On New Stock Point" available in Inventory Handling Parameter - Cycle Counting Tab.

Also reply me back if it works.

Hi,

I update once again. If no transaction has happened - system will not create cycle counter order.

if you want to try.. make one inventory transfer and then try cycle counting order.

thx
