The item signal code can prevent a sales order is being entered for an item.

Does anyone know how can I prevent sales order entry for an item at warehouse level? This mean sales order is allowed for certain warehouse but not other.

I am on Baan 5

I'm not sure about BaaN 5, but you can do this by making the Item-Warehousing Status as "tentative" in Warehouse-Item Data.

In case of Baan IV C4 - you could simply add field authorization (as not authorized for item & particular warehouse) for the user creating SO in session "maintain table field data authorizations" - ttaad4135m000.
