Hi,

We want to change the standard Item's Inventory Unit. One Purchase transaction has occurred for this item. Hence system is not allowing to change the Inventory unit from Front end application i.e Maintain Item Data - tiitm0101m000.

Is there any standard method to change the inventory unit after transactions have occurred for that item? If no then, suppose we want to write a update session to do the same, then which tables we need to update.

Reply for the same will be highly appreciated.

It would be safe to change the unit, if there exists no economic stock. But please note that old transaction would be based on old unit. In case you need to change the old transactions in logistcs side you would need to change tdinv700, and some other history table. If the change is in mere description then it is not required

Hi,
It is not clear from your post whether you are working on BaaN 4c4 or ERP Ln6.1. Assuming that you are working on Ln6.1 you can also think the solution in terms of creating another item code with the correct values, transferring the inventory from the faulty item to this new item or using an adjustment order & use alternative items to help end users in making the correct entry.

Alternatively you can try maintaining Conversion factor for the UOM , instead of using GTM .

Hi Ravi,

Did you get any front end solution to this problem, except for using conversion factor, or creating new item...

Thanks..
