We have companies in multiple countries. Our primary language is English but does anyone have any ideas on how to have item descriptions in more than one language?

in ERP LN you could use MLE (Multi Lanuage Extension) and then you can use Multi-Language Descriptions (not only for items) in the whole system. With MLE a "data language" will be available which is independent from the user language and the customer language.

I am not aware of any good solution for MLE in Baan IV.
