Sir/Madam
We want to move inventory from one Warehouse to scrap Warehouse in
tdilc1120m000. But we get the following message
“No Inventory or insufficient inventory” though the inventory still has more than the required numbers.

Hi,
It might be that inventory is blocked by any reason.

Is the item FIFO controlled.
Please post screenshot from inventory overview (detail level per location) and from item master (available / reserved etc.)

Hi,
If the storage and inventory units are different for that item then it could also be due to the shortage of the item in terms of its storage unit against its inventory unit. Sometimes the storage inventory reported can be less than what it should be (inventory unit x conversion). This is often the case when ILC Parameter setting "Convert Quantity from Inventory to Storage Units" & "Convert Quantity from Storage to Inventory Units" is set to [No]. With this set to No, whenever someone changes the storage unit value manually in the Maintain Outbound Data session, it doesn't automatically change the inventory unit value and vice versa...

Look to see of the inventory is already allocated on outbound advice.
Reading between the lines you want to scrap items that may be no use or do not exist - if this is discovered during picking then it is likely that the inventory is already allocated on outbound for the order being picked - if so adjust the outbound advice down to free up the inventory to be scrapped.

Neither is it allocated to an outbound , neither are the Storage & Inv units different & neither is the inventory blocked

hi,
Could you post the screen-shot of Display Inventories by Item & Warehouse {tdilc1512m000} for this particular Item?
Apart from that, run the inventory transaction report for this item/warehouse combination and verify the balance quantity that's shown in that report for the combination is the same as what you see in your On-Hand figure for the same combo....
