Hello,

I am using Baan6. EDI stopped processing inbound and some outbound messages. When I try to see some EDI settings ex: ecedi2192m000 I get :
Some EDI sessions are still active. It is not possible to start up this session exclusively.
No job or session is running. I have checked on the Linux with lsof for any oppened files related to EDI, but without success.

Any idea?

Is there any EDI documentation?

Best regards,
Erdal Mutlu

Hi,

Try clearing semaphore files and start EDI again.

Are these normal files or system semaphores (ipcs -a). If normal files where do I find them?

Normally this message appears if an EDI application lock can`t be set.
Did you check if any EDI application lock exists in ttadv9598m000 "Application Locks"?

Yes, I have checked the application locks. Stoped the EDI job (ecedi7205m000 Direct Network Communication) and all EDI related programs. Also deleted the trace files. I can run ecedi7201m000 (Generate EDI Messages) and it works for some ASN001 messages, but it does not process all of them. Because, most of the EDI specific configurations sessions give the same warning and exit. I guess that there must be some lock somewhere. But I cannot find it.

Hi,

Try this,

in session - tcedi0120m000 , you will find the EDI path (Open the path in OS) their you will find a folder by name command (it is where semaphore files are created) .

Delete the files in the folder "command" and then run - remove range of appl locks.

then Try running EDI again.

Ok it worked. Thank you a lot! I was sure that I have checked the Application locks, but there were 4 locks. The Baan's client sometimes show empty page even though there are lines. One must explicitly go to the top of the page using the scrollbar.
