I find the unit is wrong when i check the item,so i want to change the unit from ea to kg,but i find that can not change it. which parameter can control this,the error message as below attached file.

U can't change the unit of an Item after doing any transaction (even a single transaction).

Unfortunately, there is no standard BAAN session to do this.

We have the same issue and although I do not like it, I do the change as follows, after getting permission from some managers: (These steps are valid for BAAN IV - may be a little different for BAAN V)

- First have responsible person in Stores reduce the inventory down to zero
- Then, using ttaad4100 (General Table Maintenance), make the Inventory UOM equal to what it should be.
- Then, in Maintain Item Data, make sure the Purchase Price is matching the conversion.
- Then, have the Stores person adjust the inventory back to what it was, in the new Unit of Measure.
