We want to give Serial Number Manually at the time of Receiving the Material. Can anyone suggest me how to map this scenario.

When we are trying it by not defining any default Mask in COM PARAMETER, system is not allowing us to link the Expected Receipt Line in the Receipt & giving the Error Message "No default Mask defined in COM Parameter". And when we defines the default Mask system will automatically generates the Serial Nos, which we don't want.

But in our other company this setup(without default Mask) is working quite fine.

So please tell us, whether we are missing some parameter or whatever will be the possibility of this error.

Hello,

maybe this will work:

In Parameter (tdltc0100m000) :

Generate codes = No
Series Number = No number

In Serials (tdltc0105m000) .

No ID - structure

So you can define your own number by receipt of purchase order if article is set to ltc.

Sorry, as I havn't mentioned that I'm facing this problem on ERP LN 6.1

But the problem is resolved, This Manual Serial Control can be handled by following procedure:
1. In COM PARAMETER - don't define any default Mask
2. In Warehousing Order Type - Don't select the option "Generate Serials Automatically"
