I trying to modify a Sales Order type (tdsls0694m000), to have it "check credit".
But it seems the Order type is in use, what's the best way to get around this?

Via the standard the only possibility is to process the orders and delete them. Only then the order type is not in use anymore.

I have changed various ordertype settings through GTM in previous versions which worked. I believe it would work in this version too without having any serious consequeces.

You can process all the outstanding orders for this order type and then change the field using GTM.

Temporary, I've made a duplicate of the sales order type as a work around.
