Dear Baanboard,

can somebody please advice me with a correct setup for using hard allocation in BaaN IV. (Session tdinv2201m000 / tdinv2101m000)

There are some correction in the script, therefore it is not possible to user hard allocation without adding it to the order steps / order types.

Especially interested in the correct settings in sessions tcms0139m000 and tcmcs0142m000 (order steps / order types).

Up to now I'm not totaly clear at what position hard allocation should be inserted in session tcmcs0142m000, what is the effect for order processing if you don't use hard allocation, do you have an additional step to move to the next order step or is it without user effect ?

Regards,

Kozure

Do you have location control (ILC) switched on? If so, you should not be using hard allocation as the Generate Outbound Advice order step will do the same task when it runs.

If you are not using ILC, then Hard Allocation should come just before the Picking List step. When it runs, it makes a specific commitment of inventory to demands up to the available stock limit. Order priorities are observed if there is not enough stock to go round.

Most of the installations uses ILC implemented, hence you don't see much response.

After creating sales order the next steps are.......
1. Print Sales Order Acknowledgement
2. Generate Hard Allocation
3. Print Picking List
.
.
.. Process Delivered Sales Order
