We are looking for a solution where we can insert shipment details (i.e ship date, shipped by, tracking #, eta, etc.) to be able to email our customers once the shipment has left our facility (print BOL session executed)?

Anyone tried to create/customize a session in Baan or use a third party app for this type of a system?

We have done this in Baan using custom session. Basically, we email hyperlinked tracking numbers, theshipment information the carton content etc. We run this program in batch mode in night in Baan

We personalised the Print Confirmed Advices report script to call the unix mailx command sending a HTML file also generated within the report script.

The E mail address of the customer was taken from a spare field in the customer file.

The others are correct that you'll probably have to customize an existing report or develop a new one. That said, you might want to check out B2Email from Nazdaq if you don't already use it. It works well for emailing reports generated from jobs run in a demon.
