We are manufacturing certain products which are internally known by certain(generic) names while our clients all use different terminologies in their purchase orders for the same items. These terminologies must be repeated in our Delivery Orders(DOs) and Invoices in order to ease the processing of our invoices at the customer's end for an early release of our dues.

Please let me know if using separate descriptions, one for internal use and one for the sake of sales orders, DOs and invoices is possible. The Units of Measure(UOM) may also be different in some cases.

Thanks and advance,

V.N. Ravi Kumar

Well, I'm not quite sure if I got you right, but why don't you use the item descriptions by customer (tdsls4107m000)?

Indeed for Item descriptions you could use tdsls4107, when it's more a matter of own item codes per customer, your could use Alternative item codes (tiitm0112)

Good luck:D
