Hi all

We want to clear the the serial box for the old items which has been serial controled for long time. Is this possible to solve this in BAAN ln?

It is has become possible in ERP LN 6.1 FP3. So if you reference to Baan LN is to be interpreted as ERP LN, you could consider migrating to the latest feature pack.

Thanks to your reply. We use SP1 now. And I have never used FP3. So how is it relized in FP3. Could u explain it to me? For example, for the item which has been put serial N.O., will the system allow to clear the serial control?

From 'Items - Warehousing' session another session can be started called 'Convert (to) Serialized Item' (whltc5201m000). This will allow to switch to non-serialized. So it is not like toggling a field. Changing the field will be the result of running the session.
I guess this on its own might not justify the transition to FP3 but maybe there is more you are looking for. ;)
