We have implement Baan for 5 years.
Today we have new warehouse with racking system and want implement location control in modul distribution.

We have problem for implement location control.
my question is :
1. how to setup location control ?
2. for location in racking or bin have capacity, how to setup?
3. how to convert inventory from box (this use by production) to pallet (this use by new warehouse).
we use inventory unit:kg, storage unit:box.

Please help me .

The location system in Baan is complex for explain in a post. My advice is that you study it well in a company of tests. In order to initiate there is it a session in Baan, tdilc0100m000. You must create the locations and the conditions of storage. You must parametrizar all modulate ilc.

Some points:

Add ILC Units in tiitm001 and tipcs021
Create locations (tdilc001)

(Change from INV to ILC will take you some week's preparation // testing // changing workflow !!!, some session do not work anymore with ilc logic, more steps necessary (outbound / inbound create, maintain, print, transfer)
