now, i have a item with order interval value = 2,and this item appears in bom twice at different levels, when a run simulate order , the ERP generates two records for this item with the same start date ,finish date , delivered date.
bom:
k900001->k800001(Purchase) net qty 1,k800002(Manufacture) 1,p800003 1(Phantom)
k800002->k700001(purchase) 1 ,k700002(purchase) 1
p800003->k700001(purchase) 1 ,k700003(purchase) 2

now in sfc there are already have a production order for k800002 qty 500,start date is 20102006

in mps i put forecast k900001 241020006 1000pcs,251020006 1100pcs

then run simulate order

and k700001 safety inventroy is 10000

the result is
1 K900001 1000.0000 24-10-06 24-10-06 24-10-06 Planned 100002 0
2 K900001 1100.0000 25-10-06 25-10-06 25-10-06 Planned 100002 0

1. Order interval only affects order proposals (MPS, MRP) and does not take into account existing orders.
2. Multiple orderproposals on the same day can be generated if you have a max order quantity < actual requirement and you allow multiple orders per day. Ex: requirement = 1500, MOQ = 1000, number of orders allowed = 10 would give an order for 1000 and one for 500 for the same day. If your number of orders allowed =1 you would get an order of 1500 and a message stating that the quantity exceeds the maximum quantity

tks,jvranckx
1, you say MPS/MRP does not take into account existing orders,i don't thinks so.i have a product order in SFC,so there are a planned order with 500 qty. if there are not this production order with 500,the planned order with 500 will change to 1000.
2,i know the max order quantity can affect the result,but K700001'max order qty is 1000000,so this maybe not the problem.

btw,i want to know order interval use which date, start date or finished date or required date,and which the start date of the order interval? the plan scenarios start date or the item k700001's first allowed order date or other date.

Sorry, I expressed myself badly. It should be :
MPS/MRP does not take into account existing orders when calculating the next order date. The order interval is always calculated on the required date. The first date (D1) is the date of the first net requirement. From there on all the requirements in the period D1+oint are added up to determine the quantity of the first order proposal. The next required date (D2) is the first net requirement after D1+oint. From there on all the requirements in the period D2+oint are added up to determine the quantity of the second order proposal etc. etc.
