We are using Baan IVc2. We want to implement inspection of goods at receipt. Does anyone have any documentation on the use of the item master field Inspection or the Maintain Approvals sesssion?
Is anyone doing this in a production environment?

i have never worked on BaaN IV c2, but the setup in BaaN IVc4 is as follows:(same could be tried in yr system)

Default: Item Master "inspection" ='Yes'
Supplier Master Inspection field ='Yes'
Mandatory: PurcHase Order Inspection field ='Yes' (If above two settings are done, PO inspection automatically becomes 'Yes')

In order Type: Add Maintain Approval session.
Now, when the material is received thru "maintain Receipt" the next step will be "maintain Approval"

if you also want to use the quality management module there are quiete a lot of data to be maintained. If you want some ideas how to maintain the quality master data in an easy way do not hesitate to contact me.
