Using BaaN 7.1c

In session tdipu0101s0001pdipu001.prip, I am trying to determine the correct terminology for this field. My understanding is that this is standard cost (for a purchased item).

I am a buyer for an EMS company and am starting to dig into BaaN processes and terminology. Also, there seems to be discussions internally about FTP. Purchasing group sees this as First Time Purchase, while finance sees this as Fixed Transfer Price. From a BaaN perspective, I don't believe First Time Purchase is a valid term.

Please confirm that Fixed Transfer Price is equal to standard cost and provide some feedback as to the value that is contained in the above session.

Thanks in advance for your support.

FTP = Fixed Transfer Price.

Thanks Flip_J.

So I am correct in assuming that the value represented in the "Purchase Price" field on the Purchase Details I tab of the item data also represents standard cost (or FTP)? My testing of this is that when the Purchase Price is updated and Cost Price Calculation is ran, the Standard Cost for this item is also updated to the same value.

The current purchase price is one of the values that can be used for FTP. Linked to the calculation code you can select Current Purch Price, Simulated Purch Price, Latest Purchase Price and Average Purchase Price to be used.

Thanks.

I need to chase down the value that we are using for this purpose. Is this calculation method user defined? If so, can you point me to the correct session where this is set?

I appreciate the additional assistance on this.

Have a great day.
