We Release outbound from Stores to Delivery department for accessories like screws etc. Delivery department may like to deliver only partial quantity due to lack of space on a trailer. What would be the procedure to choose only the quantity to be delivered and make it appear in the delivery note? Can we change backorder quantity to the quantity to be delivered? In that case, will the system allow delivery of the balance quantity next time?

Hi,

You have to maintain outbound data only for actual delivery. Here, You can maintain SO / RPL for full quantity. Later on you can confirm the backorder and deliver the material as and when you are delivering the physical material. In this case Delivery challan will print only physically delivered material.
