Hi,

using the kit item I have noticed that the price of the kit item is divided over its components to the ratio of their number..

example:

Kit item price = 1000

Kit 1st component quantity = 2
Kit 2nd component quantity = 5
Kit 3rd component quantity = 1

Kit 1st component price = 2*1000 / 8 = 250
Kit 2nd component price = 5 * 1000 / 8 = 625
Kit 3rd component price = 1*1000 / 8 = 125

at this point this is not logic as the 3rd item is more expensive than the sum of the other components..

is there any way to define the percentage of the components cost as we need

help appreciated

Try using upper level items with manual creation of BOM
Create upper level item with the lower level components, and add components to BOM manually. When you roll up the costs, it should dpick up the individual component costs for you.

Then you should speak to whomever is looking after your BOM creation
