While processing a purchase return order.

In the session maintain reciepts , when we enter the delivered quantity with a negative sign it says available inventory is 0.00pcs. and does not allow the entry further. The point is there is a lot of inventory on the same location on which the return purchase order is made.

I m pretty new to distribution, please tell me wht to do to solve this problem.

Before processing return order, transfer required item quantity to the receipt location.

We also faced the same problem in the beginning.

Please transfer the inventory to a Non Nettable Normal without location ware house, & then try to make the return order by mentioning that warehouse in the return purchase orders. Return orders doesn't picks up inventory from warehouses with locations.

I hope it will work, supplier for the inventory's lot is same (Original supplier in Lot)
