BERLIN (AP) - Hasso Plattner, one of the five founders of German software giant SAP AG, is stepping down as co-chief executive in a move that marks a watershed for the company.

STUTTGART (Reuters) - Hasso Plattner, the co-chief executive and dominant figure of Europe's largest software maker SAP AG, is to step aside to join the supervisory board from May 9, the company said on Thursday.
Plattner's counterpart, Henning Kagermann, will continue as sole CEO, ensuring continuity at SAP after the departure of the last of its original founding members.
