Interessant artikel uit Management Team over de verschillen in bedrijfscultuur tussen Nederland en Belgie en hoe het nu echt gaat met de integratie van Fortis in het Belgische geheel.

In the UK we seem to experience similar differences in management culture tegenover our Spanish colleagues. They have a very formal approach to life, which does not match with our relaxed approach to management. The most obvious signs we notice, when we go to Spain are the use of formal address, such as family names, where we will always use first names. They also are not very receptive to suggestions which come from 'below', and usually insist that what comes down from 'above' is not to be questioned. However, once you are aware of these differences, it's easy enough to work comfortably with another culture. You just need a lot of geduld!!
