Baanboard,
Suggestion:
I'm just wondering if there is a mandatory way for message posters to specify what version (and/or extension) of Baan they are inquiring about. Sometimes it's difficult to reply unless you know which version they are on.
Thanks.

Hi Doclee,
Indeed this maybe possible in someway, we will review your suggestion and let you know.
We can also look at including the Baan version(s) in the members profile area.
Thanks.

I agree that it's a good idea to include the Baan version when a message is posted at the board, but I don't thing it's an good idea to include it in the members profile.
The board is used by both Baan users and consultants, and the consultants may work with all versions from Triton to Baan 5.0.

The option is there to define custom profile fields for each member. These profile fields can even be set mandatory when registering. Tweaking the board templates a little bit, the information as depicted in the attached image could be shown for each member.
Different baan versions etc doesn't have to be a problem as these custom profile fields are of type string. There is no limitation as to what you enter. That can be good or bad :)
We could throw a poll on a yes or no for this option.

Please read this thread (http://www.baanboard.com/baanboard/showthread.php?s=&threadid=914) to see how we implemented the requested fields :)
